Potassium channel activators

A class of drugs that are used in the prevention and longterm treatment of angina. Nicorandil is a potassium channel activator that acts in a similar way to nitrates, and widens both arteries and veins. Possible side effects include flushing, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness.
