Occlusion

Blockage of a passage, canal, opening, or vessel in the body. This may be due to disease (for example, a pulmonary embolism) or medically induced. Occlusion also describes eye-patching for amblyopia, and the relationship between the upper and lower teeth when the jaw is shut. (See also malocclusion.)
